 Manufacturing at a Glance

With multiple manufacturing processes here at AAkron Line, we have the ability to make an array of products; ranging from plastic steins to wooden rulers.

Our injection molding process is responsible for manufacturing the majority of our products. The process is a lot like what it sounds: Plastic resin is melted and injected into a two-part mold, where it is cooled to create the final product. Some of our most popular products created with this process are our Stadium Cups, Flyswatters, Key Tags and Flyers.

Blow molding is the process in which air is used to form some hollow plastic products. It can be closely compared to blowing up a balloon. Melted plastic resin is extruded through the machine and an air piston is inserted during the clamping process, to blow the product into its final shape. Our Barware line, Cycle Bottles and Sports Bottles all utilize this process.

Our wood products, like our pencils and measuring devices, are manufactured in our wood mill. These products start their journey as a rough piece of lumber but go through many intricate processes to achieve their final shape. These processes include drying of the wood, planning, sawing, sanding and shaping.
